ALLPlayer

This utility comes as an alternative to using Windows' default media player for watching movies and listening to music files.

The program is compatible with a wide variety of media formats, allows you to create and save playlists, provides you with various playback options, and comes without a price tag.

You can import audio files, videos, DVD or audio CD content. Even though it says it can also load URLs, the program failed to do so in my testing.

The utility gives you access to various playback options, helps you find movie subtitles, and enables you to create playlists which can be saved for later. Furthermore, you can listen to various radio channels.

Unfortunately, the program comes with a couple of issues. For starters, it runs slowly when using its main menu. The utility is also missing hotkey controls, a feature that's available in many other media players and helps you complete your tasks a lot quicker.

Still, ALLPlayer is free. Hence, you have nothing to lose if you decide to give it a shot on your Windows PC.
